My story so far
I started out as a designer in the UK, working on interiors and products before life took me south, all the way to Wanaka, New Zealand. After years of running my own design studio and spending more time on planes than at home, I reached a point where I wanted to live a quieter, more grounded life.
That shift led to Bearwood Workshop, my small studio tucked away in Glendhu Bay. These days I spend my time carving furniture, homewares, and sculptures from sustainable and recycled native timbers, drawing inspiration from the surrounding mountains and lake. Each piece is designed to last, to carry a sense of calm and connection to the natural world.
Alongside my work in the shed, I also run a counselling practice, SelfSpace Therapy. Both sides of my life are about slowing down, listening deeply, and creating space, whether that’s in a home, a mind, or a moment of stillness.
